Get answers to common questions about Lip Wax.

Most clients feel brief stinging during removal, with discomfort subsiding within minutes. Our estheticians use warmed wax and soothing techniques; applying calming gel afterward reduces irritation. Numbing options are generally unnecessary for quick lip waxing procedures.

Results typically last two to six weeks depending on individual hair growth cycles. With consistent appointments hair often regrows finer and sparser, extending time between treatments. We recommend scheduling follow-ups based on personal regrowth patterns.

Avoid exfoliating or using retinoids 48 hours before treatment and ensure hair is at least a quarter-inch long for effective removal. Arrive with clean skin free of makeup or heavy products to allow the wax to adhere properly.

Common temporary effects include redness, mild swelling, or sensitivity for up to 24–48 hours. Rarely, ingrown hairs or minor irritation occur. Follow aftercare instructions, avoid sun exposure, and contact us if severe redness, prolonged swelling, or signs of infection appear.

Sensitive skin may react more, so a patch test is recommended. Wait at least two weeks after chemical peels or resurfacing treatments before waxing. Our estheticians will assess your skin and advise timing or alternative hair-removal options for safety.

Gently cleanse and apply a cool compress or soothing aloe gel to reduce redness. Avoid heavy makeup, steam rooms, saunas, intense exercise, and sun exposure for 24–48 hours. Exfoliate lightly after several days to prevent ingrown hairs.
